About the Role
Coordinate and implement advanced research, technical work, and complex data analysis for the Casella Center for Circular Economy & Sustainability, including life cycle assessment, laboratory experimentation, technology pilot testing, and interdisciplinary research focused on sustainable materials management. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Master’s degree in a related scientific field required (e.g., Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering). Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other researchers, as well as supervise undergraduate research assistants. Ability to problem solve, demonstrated writing and quantitative capabilities, and a record of leadership. Experience with complex data analysis is required. Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
Desirable Qualifications
Two to five years of related experience beyond master’s degree. Experience with life cycle assessment and related software (e.g., openLCA) and datasets (e.g., ecoinvent) is strongly desired. Experience with environmental chemistry and biology laboratory tasks is desired. Experience with statistical programming and modeling in R is desired. Fluency with Excel, Word. Graphic design skills. Interdisciplinary collaboration.
Anticipated Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000
